A Solitude of Flowers Shawl

Where do flowers go when they misbehave?
You will find them locked away in a prison made of diamonds.
Trapped inside this prison, they look to each other but cannot touch.
They see beyond the filet fencing (filet holes) to the garden outside.
Nestled in the centre of this garden (border), locked in their own triangle prisons are individual Tulips. Together but forever apart!

$5.50 Au

A Prison for Flowers has had a name change and is now A Solitude of Flowers.

I had a large corporation issue a notice to Etsy claiming that my shawl violated their intellectual property. Etsy refuses to give any further information in regards to this and state to contact the company in question. They are not forthcoming with any reason despite my contacting them.

I did research them carefully after this notice was issued and have found a recently released anime video named Flowers in a visual prison. My shawl was first published in August of 2020 and the video aired at the end of June 2022. This is a reach to connect in any way to my shawl, but this company has a team of corporate lawyers and I am just me. So the easiest solution to avoid further harassment was to change the name of the shawl. I have done a clean up of the pattern at the same time. The pattern itself has not changed, just the name.

Crochet terminology: Both US and UK.

This is a written pattern with photos and graphs.

This pattern is comprised of basic stitches and several special stitches. It uses my very own original stitch combination to produce a unique flower that is specific to Auburncraft Crochet Design.

It has a simple pattern repeat. The main border is slightly more challenging but there are graphs and photographs to help.

This was a lockdown project for me and I used 2 part balls of Wolltraum my Melody. This would suit any fingering weight yarn such as Scheepjes Whirl. Lola, Hobbii Twister to name a few. Many (click here for Scheepjes Whirl)
My testers used several different colorways and yarns with incredible results (view some of their work below).
