A Moment of Butterflies Scarf
Butterflies live but a moment, yet in that moment they bring endless beauty!
Crochet terminology: Both US and UK.
This is a written pattern with photographs and symbol graph.
About the Pattern
This design is worked in a manner similar to filet crochet; however, it is not a traditional filet style and does require slightly more concentration due to the stitches used. The pattern features a simple 8-row repeat and becomes quite enjoyable once memorised.
The butterflies are worked as you go down the side of the scarf, and the scarf itself is worked flat in rows. I thoroughly enjoyed designing and crocheting this piece, and it has become my new favourite scarf.
Yarn & Hook Information
I used a slightly larger hook than usual for fingering weight yarn to achieve a softer drape.
