Easy/Intermediate
Living in the here and now can be trying for us all.
So, take a moment from your day to wonder at things small.
There’s beauty and serenity in nature for all to see,
The little things like fragrant flowers and the buzz of a busy bee.
Today I spied a dragonfly as it rode the gentle breeze,
I stopped and paused in awed delight till it disappeared amidst the trees.
Crochet terminology: Both US and UK.
This is a written pattern with photos and graphs.
This pattern is comprised of basic stitches and several special stitches. It uses my very own original stitch combination to produce a unique dragonfly that is specific to Auburncraft Crochet Design.
This pattern needs a slightly higher level of concentration when making it. It does not mirror itself across the rows. This means that each row of pattern is written individually. The main border is slightly challenging but there are graphs and photographs to help. Any alterations to the sizing or shape will require YOUR OWN calculations.
Many different yarns could be used for this design, Hobbii Sultan in the colour Edcora Red. The majority of one full cake was used. Check your gauge and keep your tension correct throughout, making the full shawl from one cake achieveable.
My testers used several different colorways and yarns with incredible results (view some of their work below.
