C1= 1x Stylecraft Special Aran. 400g balls. 816m/892yd per ball. Held double to create a bulky weight. Approx total used 608m/664yd if gauge is met.

C2= 1x Alize Maxi Flower 100gm balls. 80m/87yd per ball. Col. 5564. This is not doubled. Approx total used 76m/83.1yd if gauge is met.

C3= 3 x Kuka Magic Wool Deluxe held double. 100gm balls. 199m/218yd per ball. Approx total used 490m/535.8yd if gauge is met.

This shawl/wrap has been designed with the idea to use yarns you may have on hand.

It is meant to be an expression of you.

Alize Maxi Flower yarn is not a yarn that is readily available everywhere. I purchased mine via Etsy. Options are included in the pattern to make your shawl look unique without the use of the Maxi Flower yarn.

My pattern testers used several different methods for this and their efforts can be viewed below.

Each shawl produced was unique, interesting and many different yarns and notions were used to enable this.

Yarn quantities shown in the materials list, factor in the use of the Stylecraft Special Aran being held doubled and the same for the Kuka yarn.

Linked double crochet is used for the main body of the shawl/wrap and instructions for this are included in special stitches.

·       Options to create a shawl with a similar or quirky look such as the Maxi flowers brings are: Sew small buttons onto rows 11 and 12 at intervals. Create tiny crochet flowers and sew these at intervals on these rows. See below Please visit my webpage for suggestions of substitute yarn. For those who are proficient in cross stitch and embroidery, small colourful crosses could be added along the edge, or French knots. Adding beads is another option.
