These adorable crochet washcloth bears are a fun twist on a classic gift idea. Fabric towel bears have been around for years, but crochet versions are far less common—so I decided it was time to create one.

This pattern creates a practical crochet washcloth that can be neatly folded and secured into a sweet little bear, making it perfect for gifting. They are quick and simple to make, making them ideal for last-minute presents or for adding to gift hampers such as baby shower bundles, housewarming gifts, and self-care packs.

The washcloth is worked using soft cotton or a cotton blend for the best absorbency and durability. Finish it off with a matching ribbon and rubber bands to create the bear shape for a charming presentation.

  • Rubber bands (matching colour)

Yarn Used in Sample

  • Noya Bamboo Cotton DK (50 g)
(I would rate this as a thicker DK weight.)
