I Should Have Used Mothballs Scarf/Shawl

If you like unique things, then this is for you! No, it’s not really eaten by Moths!

$5.00 Au

Just doesn’t pay to turn your back on your crochet! I put my Scarf/Wrap down for just a minute and when I turned back Moths had attacked it. The little blighters were all over it. They had devoured huge chunks of it and were hanging from the edges!
.

I had the same issue for this Scarf/Shawl as I had on publishing my ‘Moths Ate My Flower Scarf/Shaw’. People tended to separate into those who loved it and those who were messaging me stating how sorry they were for my lovely Scarf/Shawl being destroyed by Moths. I again ended up adding a disclaimer on my marketing posts explaining that the scarf/shawl was designed with the intention of looking like it had been eaten by Moths! Then we get back fact that there are those who love it as they love unique and those who just don’t get it! Which are you?

Crochet terminology: Both US and UK.

This is a written pattern with photos and graphs.

This pattern is comprised of basic stitches. Moths Ate My Flower Scarf/Shawl uses one Scheepjes Whir (click here for Scheepjes Whirl). This creates a long rectangle shawl. A shorter shawl is achieved using less pattern repeats..

This is a fun shawl to work up and watch grow. It incorporates Filet work with a delicate border over the un-eaten sections of the edge..
