Ripple Kiss Lock Purse Crochet Pattern

Worked in the round and finished with a classic 5-inch curved kiss lock frame, this purse combines eye-catching design with everyday functionality. The dense stitch fabric creates a sturdy purse with minimal gaps, making a fabric lining optional.

The purse begins with a simple uneven circular base worked entirely in the main colour, with the ripple colourwork introduced from Round 12 onwards. A colour block graph is included to guide the repeating side pattern, while a reduced symbol graph assists with the base construction.

This project works up quickly and is suitable for crocheters who enjoy colourwork and textured stitches.

• Alize Diva Silky yarn 100g balls, 350m/383yd per ball.

Approximate Yarn Requirements

Approx. 50 m (55 yds) total yarn required:

• Colour 1: approx. 30 m (33 yds)

• Colour 2: approx. 20 m (22 yds)

The sample shown was made using Alize Diva Silky. While the exact yarn is not required, a yarn with a similar fibre content, weight, and structure is recommended for the best results. Alize Diva Silky is a microfibre acrylic that provides excellent stitch definition and durability, making it particularly well suited for purses and accessories.

Designed to fit a 5 inch (12.7 cm) curved kiss lock frame (measured across the widest part when closed).

• Width across front of purse: 13 cm (5.1 inches)

• Height from top edge to bottom centre: 15 cm (5.9 inches)
