It’s Shagadelic Baby!
Shagadelic Key Hole Scarf. A fun warm scarf/neck warmer
For the pattern I use Drops Melody to get that fluffy look. This is a great pattern for those (if like me) that have a few of those fluffy balls of yarn, even eyelash yarn and you don’t quite know what to do with it.
This Scarf is worked in simple stitch, Single/Double crochet. Surface Slip Stitch is used to add a unique feature.. This works up quickly and would suit most levels of ability.

SURFACE SLIP STITCH:
How to complete a Surface Slst.
1. Attach the yarn at work edge with a Slst. Insert the hook through the face of the work.
2. Pull up a loop from back of the work and through to front of the work. Pull through the loop on the hook.
3. Insert the hook into next St. Repeat
Working from 2 balls of Drops Melody at the same time (double strand). Use 7mm hook
With Right Side facing, begin in Row 2. Slst to edge of the second-row in. Pull up a loop through your work from behind. Sslst in each Dc stitch of row. Do not cut yarn. Sslst along edge, over the next row and then into the row after (2 Sslst). Turn your work and Sslst down that row. You are doing a row of Sslst every second row. When you get to the end of this row, again Sslst along the bottom edge, missing one row and into the next. Continue this way till you have done the entire Scarf. Fasten off and cut yarn. (You can leave a long tail, and this can be added into the fringe)
Fringe
Cut one Length of Stylecraft Aran 30cm/11.8inches long and two lengths of Drops Melody 30cm/11.8inches long. Using a 4mm hook, loop these through the end rows of the Scarf. Space at approx. every two rows. Add any loose ends into fringe. Trim ends if necessary.
