Intermediate Level
Whom ever stated that crochet had to be boring must not have known me! A little bit of slow gradient yarn, with a dash of surface slip stitch. Throw in some beads and you are set to go!
I love unique things and strive for this in my designs. The idea of a shawl with similarity to a chandelier just lept into my head one day and now a few months later, here it is!
Crochet terminology: Both US and UK.
This is a written pattern with photos and graphs.
This pattern is comprised of basic stitches and several special stitches, but a certain level of concentration is required.
Worked flat and in rows the edging chandeliers are also worked as you go.
Surface slip stitch is worked last and also has some beads worked into it. The beading is not diffucult and pictures show how it is done.
Many different yarns could be used for this design, but I used Scheepjes Whirl in Licorice Yum Yum. (click here for Scheepjes Whirl) .
My testers used several different colorways with incredible results.
