“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.” Robert Jordan
If you loved my Fishing for Luck Shawl then you will love The Wheel of Time Shawl!
Those familiar with the writings of Robert Jordan will note the references to his works. I designed this shawl with this in mind. The main body of the shawl is a pattern of repeating wheels. Small wheels dangle from the edge as though suspended in time! These differ in length and are held in place by the rows of cog like stitches!
Crochet terminology: Both US and UK.
This is a written pattern with photos and graphs.
This pattern is comprised of basic stitches, although some concentration is required to ensure correct placement. Once you have achieved the first 15 rows, the pattern becomes simple to repeat. The Wheel of Time Shawl has a 12 row repeat. For the length shown I did 16 repeats of the pattern. This creates a long rectangle shawl. A shorter shawl is achieved using less pattern repeats, but if using a yarn such as Scheepjes Whirl, I recommend working the full amount of repeats (click here for Scheepjes Whirl).
