I needed a new handbag. I am a one-handbag type of girl. Once I have that bag, it goes everywhere with me, so I must like it a LOT. Most bags I find unappealing, boring, just not me!

So, with the need for a new bag, the search began. After many hours spent looking, discarding options, pondering, and finally settling on a bag I could live with, I made my purchase.
Now, this is only the first step to actually using the bag. I still have to tweak it. Make it more ME.
This process could take forever and a day. I am generally rather busy, juggling patterns, designing, making corrections to patterns in testing, and then one has to factor in that the testers must be fed. They won't work for free, so the porridge must be made. CEO Stella does sometimes offer to help out in this area, but she is a diva and therefore tends to delegate, usually to me.
So finding time is not something that always happens. But...
I decided flowers were in order for my new bag and, to start this process, I designed a little SUNFLOWER. I added a swirled centre to make it more interesting and, seeing as I was going to all this bother, I thought I may as well write the pattern and add it as a freebie for my webpage members.
