Crochet Tournament 2026

February 1, 2026

This year has seen the design team — myself and CEO Stella — hit the ground running, with ideas and designs flying everywhere.

2026 is shaping up to be fast and furious, with a strong design focus that actually began six months ago when I was invited to be a featured designer for the upcoming Crochet Tournament 2026.

As one of the three Australian designers involved, I’ve had a first-hand look at the beautiful designs participants will get to create throughout the tournament.

Have a read about it below — registration opens today.

Winter is nearly here, and the Crochet Tournament 2026 is your chance to get cosy. This year’s challenge is all about creating wearable, warming accessories that will see you through the cold months. Join in, connect with others, and craft your own winter-ready collection.

The aim of the tournament is for you to have a fun, challenging and inspiring time.  We all want you to grow as crocheters and learn new stitches and techniques.

As in previous years, there are two streams – a beginner (newbie) designed for those new to crochet or with basic crochet skills and an intermediate (competent).

Each stream will have a prize for each project (stage)  and there is an overall prize for each stream that everyone who completes all stages by the final date will be eligible for.

All you have to do is complete each stage in time, and submit a photo within the time frame and you go into the draw to win some fabulous prizes.

In both streams, the stages progressively get a little more difficult and challenging, helping you to grow and learn new stitches and techniques.  If you are new to crochet, please only sign up for the beginner/easy stream, and give yourself time to learn, both before and during the tournament.

All designs have been prepared by Australian designers and will be written in both US and UK terminology.

The tournament will begin April 1st and for each stage you will have 4 weeks to complete the project and submit your photo.

See all the details and register for your chance to wrap up warm this winter
